Question: To whom can i write a thank-you to, for my unemployment?
(Posted by: Jess T on 2010-03-11 13:30:36)
I was unemployed for a long bit last year. I got my unemployment check every week until I found work. I am grateful to my state as well as the members of Congress for understanding the plight of millions in transition, and for allowing extensions as they saw fit. Haven't been unemployed in a while - but I wish to send a thank you. I know this is an odd request, but where can I send a letter(s) of thanks? |

Address the letter to your elected representatives, but mail it to Rush Limbaugh with courtesy copies to Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and the rest of the right wing noise machine who think that we unemployed are little better than leeches. (My benefits were a paltry $320 a week where my previous gross was over $1,250. Barely covered my mortgage payment and utility bills in the dead of winter!) That's what I did. Never heard a response from any of them. I did send original copies to both of my Senators and my Congressman and got nice replies from all of them, congratulating me on my new job and thanking me for allowing them to be of service. Claire McCaskill's letter was particularly nice. |

Well... I guess you can check out the mailing address on your state's website. And address to State Officers. |
