Does anyone find it difficult to find a job in this recession?
It seems as if jobs are becoming way difficult to land. Has anyone been able to find a job as easy as before? I've been everywhere I've even had the opportunity to get an interview and ace it. After being told right then and there that I got hired, I had to fill out tons of paperwork. I was suppose to get a call back within a week to go in for finger prints and start working. I never got a phone call... I've tried contacting the company and they just seem so irresponsible and unprofessional. What's going on in this world? I understand if one interviews you and tells you they'll call you if anything. But to tell someone they're hired and to actually waste their time. That's just plain wrong Has this ever happened to anyone???

I am having trouble finding a job. Maybe I am not looking in the correct place? More details below?
My BA degree combined geography and disaster management. However, I have interests experience in other areas such as gardening composting, camping outdoor survival living, biking, swimming, caving, swimming, rock climbing, running, investigation, computers technology, and a little bit of web design. Alot of the jobs do one or two things, but doesn't combine everything into one. And as for disaster work, I have tried Emting, working as an aid in the ER, and being on a search and rescue team. However, alot of it seemed way to clichish and high pressure. I enjoy doing disaster medical work not as a full time job but as a minor part time thing such as going on a hike with friends and being the first aid guy then if someone gets hurt. Another part of it is that I rather work alone or by myself... or sort of be an " outsider" such as a class does a field trip out in the woods. I come with them but stay out of sight out of mind unless there's a problem. However, I dont mind teaching small groups stuff in my interests fields. The hard part is trying to figure out how to combine them all into one. Yahoo Answers do you have any suggestions?

I was laid off exactly 1 year ago today & I still have not found a job in Atlanta, should I relocate?
I been searching and searching. I have applied to almost 200 jobs and only had two interviews. For each job I apply for, I tweak my cover letter and resume and tailor it to the position. I am not saying that it might be different elsewhere, I know the economy is bad nationwide. I don't have anything keeping me in Atlanta, no house to sell, no partner, no kids, no pets. Should I relocate to another city for a job?
