Do job search sites have any requirements to find people jobs?
It seems like career builder, monster, and other commercial jobs sites have no quotas to answer or pressing need to find people jobs. If they get the hits on the sites the advertisers will pay anyway right? Or am I wrong?
Advice for job search please. I'm desperate?
Hi, I'm having a very hard time finding a job. Im 33 years old and I'm from Mexico, last year I married an american and had to move to Colorado, I was successful in my country, I have a bachelors degree, I'm bilingual, and my last position was Human Resources Director. I feel very sad and frustrated because I can't find a job here, I don't mind to start from the bottom again, I know my 12 years of experience in the human resources field doesn't count much in USA because labor laws are different but I don't know what kind of positions I can apply for. I have been trying everything, but companies like Macy's, Starbucks, etc. rejected me because they said I don't have the profile they're looking for, I don't understand, I have applied for the very low level positions, I'm outgoing, I take care of my personal presentation, I'm a legal resident, and I wouldn't have any problem finding an executive position in Mexico. Why do they reject me even to work serving coffees?? I have been thinking to remove my bachelor's degree from my resume and leave only my high school, but I don't know if that would help, I need money. After months of search I have been thinking to come back to my country but my husband doesn't want to move to Mexico at the moment. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks alot for your time.

Discouraged in my endliess job search...how to get motivated again?
I had moved to another state which does not have the businesses to get a really good paying job. I have certifications and excellent academic references, however, the community I had moved to is small and very 'slow growth' oriented. I have found that I am very bored, have made no friends, and the job prospects have not been good...I would like to move back to So Cal by summer yet I have been asked to apply for a job with the State Department of Labor & Industries...the job would last p t for 3 years....would you try to get the job? or just focus on returning home?
Using tax form 1040A Federal and Turbotax, where do you put in job search expenses?
I'm using Turbotax to file for my 1040A Federal taxes. Turbotax says you can deduct job search expenses while unemployed. Does anyone know where or how you enter those? I already IMed Turbotax and they have no idea how to do it even though in the help section it says it's possible.

My plan is to go abroad and teach English next year... I have a TEFL certificate and I'm qualified to do that, but that's the only decent job I seem qualified for.I have a crappy job now, and I would like to do something else until it's time for me to go abroad and teach. Not something forever, just sojmething that I can do until I go abroad that would pay fairly and allow me to employ my skills.I've been searching for options, but I'm so lost. My career seems to have fallen apart after 13 years. I quit my last job out of frustration 3 years ago, and have not been able to find another job in 3 years Not a single interview.
