Question: I got fired, brought union into and got my job back....need advice really bad?

Okay, So I took my vet asst course and for my placement I worked at a humane society, i realised my dream was to work at a humane society. I applied to all in teh area. Just so happens I got interviews at allll of them. I forgot to mention in the meantime i volunteered 40 hours a week at thge one i did my placement at. anyways the humane society i did the placemenet at was offering me the best so i went there. after time my boss was sexist and wouldnt allow me to do anything but clean. So i tried my hardest to stay on track but i mean a 19 yr old with big dreams getting shut out is really hard....everyday i went to work...i still loved the animals...he hired a new guy who was way older than all of us but me an dhim butt heads one day i drew the line when he sprayed bleach water at me and called me a bitch, i told my boss and nothing was done. i wrote an email to my boss explainin how i felt and was late the next day adn he FIRED ME. so i brought union into it cuz i need my job, i live on my own and have a family of animals to supprt. so i got my job back and start next weekend. I haavent worked there since dec 16, 2009 i dont know how to handle. what if everyone is negative to me..gosh i need the money..and i love that job, , , i am ok with no going anywhere there for now....i just wanna help the animals too any ideas how to act what to do. so nervous

Press charges on the guy who sprayed bleach water at you. That's a form of attempted murder, I believe it's classified under "with a biological weapon " or something like that. Also, get the building inspected, call a government inspector and say the building needs inspected ASAP. 90% of facilities will not pass with no prior knowledge of an inspection, and they will not have time to clean up. After you get payback for the sexist assfucks, go find another shelter or humane society to work at. I wouldn't want to work at a place where I'm not welcome, and if they building gets shut down, you may have to animals transported to your new place of work.

It's wonderful and lovely that you love the animals that much that you want to go back and work there, but, more than likely, what's going to happen is that your boss is going to work at making you so miserable that you will quit. I've seen it happen many times.
