When you purchased your uniform and is fired - do they have to reimburse you?
I have had to return the uniform I purchased for work, but didn't get a refund. Has anyone worked in a restaurant before? Do they legally have to refund your money if they demand the uniform back?
My manager told me not to come in to work today. Do you think I'm fired?
I work at a restaurant. Yesterday I made a mistake of erasing this customer's credit card information. How I did it? I added another table's order onto their bill after the credit card customer left. So thinking that this " void charge" button would void what I just charged, it instead erased the credit card information..So the restaurant had to basically pay for their 120$ meal. I just got hired and have been working for only 2 weeks. Only about 5 days I've worked within those 2 weeks. My manager told me not to come in today and to come and talk to the main manager tomorrow. Do you think I'm fired? ashley r it's part of my job to use that machine. no wonder you have like 11 % best answer. don't even bother next time
Has anyone ever been fired by being told they were being given a "better opportunity" elsewhere?
I'm about to be replaced by someone at work. He's already working at my desk while I'm now working at reduced hours with no desk. I'm told ONLY that they're trying to place me in a position at a different company where I would be working full time and with benefits. Is this a common trick that employers use to keep the terminees in good spirits and get them to help train their replacements before they're handed a box to put their stuff in? Is migrating someone to a better position elsewhere done this way?Doesn't the government pay for UI using money the site or agency already paid during my employ?Also, benefits and full time employment is not something I had with any of these people.
Can I get fired for taking a medical leave soon after starting a new job.?
I just started a new job and I injured my back outside of work to the point that I must have surgery. Are there laws against them firing me, because I need surgery and have to take a medical leave?

I used to work at a local bank where I live for about a year and a half. I was fired at the very end of last November for being 30 min late to my shift I forgot to set my alarm clock the night before and overslept . I left with good terms with the company. In fact, my supervisor's boss wrote me a letter of recommendation because he felt I was a great asset to the company. Anyways, I have had a hard time finding jobs elsewhere around here due to the bad economy, and I have considered crawling back to my old bank and asking for another chance.I had a large load of classes last semester, and I was working about 30 hours a week as well. Eventually the stress and pressure caught up with me, but I managed to keep it steady for a long time. I have since reduced my course work significantly, taken steps to improve my sleeping habits, and taken precautions to make sure that when I set a time on my alarm clock, I am going to wake up at that time.I plan to go there later today tomorrow. What should I tell them? Do I have a legitimate case to show them I have corrected my errors? Should I speak with them in person on the phone email? How should I present my request? Has it been long enough? Any information and insight you can give me is great, may it be negative or positive. I really want my job back It hurts not having money
What to put on a job application instead of "fired"?
I used to work in a grocery store and they were trying to accuse everyone who worked in customer service of stealing because they were having shortages and overages they couldn't account for and the main office was getting really mad about it. They couldn't fire me for stealing because I wasn't so instead they fired me for having too many returns even though there's no policy on that and a couple other people for other various reasons. I tried to quit since they were accusing me of something I didn't do, but they said the paperwork for termination had already been filed. I'm having a hard time finding a job now since I don't want to lie on any applications and I know when people see the word " fired" or " terminated" they get uninterested in your application real quick. So my question is, is there some other phrase or wording I can use instead that doesn't sound so bad and isn't lying?

I have worked at a retail lumberyard hardware store now for just about 3 years. I am fed up with the way they run thing treat people and treat ME... I live in indiana if that helps any. about a month in a half ago I asked if i could either take sunday's off or come in after church and my hours went from 39.5 to 15 thats when my manager said its either church or money..wtf... so i changed my hours back they slowly went back to 39.5. Now recently my GM has been making me do retarded jobs for instances today told me to climb in a massive pile of snow to pick the trash out of... WTF... so i decided on quitting, i hear if you quit you cant get unemployment so i guess its time to get fired so what are good ways to get fired to collect the unemployment???i know its lazy but i have busted my behind for them and this is how they treat me.... nope time for them to pay for me to sit on my behind please help me out
How do I get a co worker of mine fired?

Okay, So I took my vet asst course and for my placement I worked at a humane society, i realised my dream was to work at a humane society. I applied to all in teh area. Just so happens I got interviews at allll of them. I forgot to mention in the meantime i volunteered 40 hours a week at thge one i did my placement at. anyways the humane society i did the placemenet at was offering me the best so i went there. after time my boss was sexist and wouldnt allow me to do anything but clean. So i tried my hardest to stay on track but i mean a 19 yr old with big dreams getting shut out is really hard....everyday i went to work...i still loved the animals...he hired a new guy who was way older than all of us but me an dhim butt heads one day i drew the line when he sprayed bleach water at me and called me a bitch, i told my boss and nothing was done. i wrote an email to my boss explainin how i felt and was late the next day adn he FIRED ME. so i brought union into it cuz i need my job, i live on my own and have a family of animals to supprt. so i got my job back and start next weekend. I haavent worked there since dec 16,2009 i dont know how to handle. what if everyone is negative to me..gosh i need the money..and i love that job,,,i am ok with no going anywhere there for now....i just wanna help the animals too any ideas how to act what to do. so nervous
Am I going to be Fired?
I have a boss that I get along great with. He has put me through some school that cost him 2000.00 and gives me raises when no one else gets one. The problem is that people think they know what I make and they know I get a raise and they do not. They are also mad that I got to go to school and they got nothing. They really don't like me because of this... I have to write charts up and I do mess up. I see about 260 people a month. And they are mad that I get 6 % of the charts wrong. I do understand but am going to work on it. It just really sucks that people hate me and the office manager hates me. But the owner and I get along great I am afraid that I will get fired because of this and because I don't get along with half of the staff. I have a hard time relating to some people that are so different from me.What do you think

I have a gf who lives with me and two dogs and furniture and am renting a house and i just got fired. Basically i didnt intentionally do anything wrong but they believe i did so i probably wont get to draw unemployment??? what do i do now??? i made close to 14 dollars and hour and my gf didnt have a job what kind of job can i find that pay s like that?? Fired for missing too much work because of health - can I file for unemployment?
I got fired today for missing too much work. I suffer from chronic depression, back pain had one surgery and need another and endometriosis. I tried to work as much from home as possible and was never told I couldn't do that until today.My state requirements for unemployment are that workers are eligible if they are let go " through no fault of their own." They said they are " trying" to keep me on the payroll through the end of the month.Do you think I could apply for unemployment? What about disability?

I was fired recently from a well known retail store, more so for their infamous tendencies of treating workers unfairly.Main points of my story Had an injury at work not 2 weeks before they fired meThey fired me for a product left out past its time it should have been removed from the sales floor. I indeed checked the product but it still had 30 mins left, I then put it in front of another associate to remove when it was up and went on my over due break. I've never had an issue with pulling a product when it was time before, shouldn't they have given me a verbal warning prior to terminating me?Was it still my fault even tho I was on my break? Why was there no action taken with the other associate who was standing right in front of it the entire time? Can I claim sexism because he was a man, they always seem to favor them at my job Also they wouldn't show me the pictures of the video when I asked for them.Any advice on the issue would be very much appreciated.
