I got a job and got fired after a week,do i still get unemployment benifits?
Ok,so i was on unemployment extended benifits before I got this job,and after a week of working I was fired for not making any sales.

Can I get fired on the spot?
I called in to my job half an hour after I was supposed to go in to tell them that I was going to be late. My manager told me that if I'm not able to work at least four hours to call them back and let them know. Am I able to get fired for this since I called in late?

Can I be fired because of missing time due to a medically documented disability?
Can my employer fire me for missing time from work due to a medically documented disability?I occasionally miss a day here and there due to a disability I've had since before I began working for my current company. I am former military and injured in combat Iraq . I have since had two cervical fusions, have a slipped thoracic disc and also have degenerative disc disease. Especially during times of nasty, wet weather I am forced to take time off due to incapacitating pain. I am under the care of a Dr 2 and ea. missed day is excused in the way of a note from my Dr s . I was told today that should I miss any more time due to my health condition I will no longer be needed. Do I have any recourse? Am I in any way protected? I live in the state of California Or is this just the way it is? I work in finance and sit at a desk in front of a computer the majority of the day. Again, thank you very much for your current and continued responses. With respect to F.M.L.A. I've exhausted it. I used it up when I had my last cervical neck fusion recovery took a few months Thank you.your answers are appreciated. Just a note, even during weeks where I miss 2 days, I'm more productive than the entire group I work with by about 2x. documented I am defined as disabled by the ADA as well.

Will the guy who OK'd Toyota's new ad slogan be fired?
The new slogan is " Moving Ahead" ... Is this because the brakes are out or because the accelerator is stuck? This choice of slogans is totally pi$$ ignorant in light of the cars having motion problems. I'm thinking some dimwit ad exec needs his pink slip......

What to put on a job application instead of "fired"?
I used to work in a grocery store and they were trying to accuse everyone who worked in customer service of stealing because they were having shortages and overages they couldn't account for and the main office was getting really mad about it. They couldn't fire me for stealing because I wasn't so instead they fired me for having too many returns even though there's no policy on that and a couple other people for other various reasons. I tried to quit since they were accusing me of something I didn't do, but they said the paperwork for termination had already been filed. I'm having a hard time finding a job now since I don't want to lie on any applications and I know when people see the word " fired" or " terminated" they get uninterested in your application real quick. So my question is, is there some other phrase or wording I can use instead that doesn't sound so bad and isn't lying?

How do you explain in an interview why you were let go from your previous job, they didn't say I was fired?
I was a manager for a store for over 3 years, excellent reviews, I even just got a raise, I did however file a harassment suit against a board member 5 months ago then they came into my work on friday and handed me a letter saying I was no longer the manager and hand over my keys, period. no explanation, nothing. How do I explain that in a job interview when asked why I left my last job. OH, and can they do that?

They are trying to get me fired because I'm prettier! What do I do?
I work at a very popular night club. I have the best shifts and most shifts. I am very social and do a great job. I'm afraid the owner will cave in because her daughter and manager wants me fired. She steals money and blames it on me we have watched the videos and caught this . I'm the youngest and I had know idea why some of the older women were giving me a hard time and lieing about me in till the club owner among others said they were jealous. I'm not snobby or conceited. I have been nothing but nice and always cover shifts for them and pick up their slack. I can't afford to lose this job. My mom was sick and lost her job and I am taking care of her and my younger sister and going to school. They gang up on me and have lied about everything from me stealing, sex in the back, not completing end of night work, to me doing drugs. I cannot make this much money anywhere else. What can I do?

Can a potential employer find out if you were terminated/fired for gross misconduct/misconduct?
If someone were terminated fired from a job for misconduct gross misconduct, could the potential employer you're applying to and interviewing for find out? Would it be listed on your public records or on a consumer report or on some other special report. Would this information be known only if the person volunteers this information about themselves on the job application or in the job interview? If a person wants to seek new employment with a history of having been fired for misconduct, could they do so without difficulty?

Is it against the law for calling someone's job to ask why they got fired?
I'm just questioning the act, not whether or not its legal for the company to provide information.

Can you get unemployment if you got fired from your job for stealing?
I hear some people can thats why i was asking

PLEASE NO SPAMMERS! I'm looking for a job but I've been fired?
Before. I updated my resume and I only have one job, my most recent job from 4 years ago listed. I did give a 2 week notice that I was leaving that job 4 years ago. The job before that I got fired for being VERY rude to a manager that was ghetto trash but I was still a teenager. I'm now in my middle 20's and have grown up a lot. I've been a stay at home mom since my last job and haven't worked in 4 years. My question is even if I only listed one job on a resume, what do I say if they ask have I ever been fired from a job? Also if they ask why no work history for those 4 years? The job is a lawn receptionist job, for back ground checks do they only check for chargers or do they check your work history?

Fired from a job but I really liked?
If I wait 6 month after being fired from a job can I then reply?

How Is It Possible To Get A Job After Getting Fired?
I find it hard, because my last major employer I got fired from and was reduced to part time and was then let go. It's been a while since I have gotten fired. How long does it take to even get a job after you have been fired? This is so depressing. How many references should you have on a Resume?

Will I be Fired? SO i came down with bronchitis and i could not work cause i work at an elderly home?
so i called this guy up to cover my shift and he did not show up and i got a call from work asking me where i am... i am really scarred because i do not want to lose my job w e if its not contagious im asking if ill get fired
