Is there any website or organization that can help me find a job?

Question: Is there any website or organization that can help me find a job?

(Posted by: Mike on 2010-02-08 19:51:45)

I have been searching for a job for the past couple of weeks and really haven't gotten any replies back. I mostly use craigslist which is suppose to be good but now I'm realizing that everyone or should I say a majority of ppl don't like. My question is is there any website or organization in my area that I can send my resume to and they can ship it out to companies that are hiring ppl? I am located in brooklyn, ny. Any type of help you can provide would be very beneficial

Thosands of people search and apply online and most companies won't take the time and money to post entry level jobs, when people in reality would go to them instead of them going to you. You can use online job search to look for openings only, then you go to that store and apply in person

Be careful when going on sites that people post on here, a lot will be scams or hackers. Just sayin = ] ((sorry, I don't have any advice though on what to look at "/ )) -Shelby

You're talking about companies that blast resumes. Don't bother, because most companies don't read resumes that aren't in answer to a specific job. Use websites like Monster, HotJobs, CareerBuilder and so on to search for jobs in your area. Look at your Yellow Pages for local employment agencies. I'm sure there must be a job website for NYC.

It's critical to have a great resume, it is worth taking the time to create something that looks brilliant and does the job properly. The resource in the box below has lots of data on resumes and help with other professions.
